After 70 hours design time, 175 painting time 160 hours helpers time spread over 8 weeks my Snowdog, named Southdowns Dog, is finally completed.
Currently he is residing in the Martlet’s kennels awaiting his big reveal on 24th September 2016 in the Old Steine, Brighton.
Southdowns Dog is inspired by the countryside surrounding Brighton and Hove and celebrates the natural resource of the National Park. He echoes the flight of the Snowman across the Downs, with aerial views and imagery of sheep grazing, iconic windmills, winding paths, wild flowers and rolling hills
I would like to thank my Snowdog team for all their help and support in bring Southdowns Dog to life. I would particularly like to thank Heather Edwards, Morwenna Garrett-Bannister, Genevieve Obermuller, Erin Fairall and Elania Carmina Budau for their hours of masking/stencilling and for keeping me sane and for making the project so much fun for me. And also, Kim Williams for photographing the end results, Richard West for taking Southdowns walkies in and around Brighton.
